How to Make $150,000 a Year Teaching Golf
by Andrew Wood
While many of the people who will benefit from this book will be PGA pros there are thousands of people making big money teaching golf who are not and never will be.
Despite all the negative press you hear about the decline of golf, there are still over 50 million players worldwide who not only make more money than the average Joe but are crazy about playing better…..87% of players said they would play more often, buy more equipment, and spend more money at the golf club if they only… played better!
This market is ripe for the taking it’s just that most people teaching have no idea how to sell or market their talent properly… That’s where this book comes in…
How a Teaching Pro Went from Struggling to Pay His Bills to Making Over a $150,000 A Year Teaching Golf!
THEN LET'S DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
“Andrew’s marketing strategy is clear, concise and is very much to the point in today’s market. Having very little experience in marketing and wanting to move my brand forward, I needed to invest in myself to do this. Andrew’s approach in his books will most certainly get you to your goals and is a must read if you want to achieve this”

In this program you will discover...
Unless you are already making six figures selling golf lessons
you are underpaid!
Grossly underpaid for your professional knowledge, experience and teaching talent!
Professional doctors, lawyers, accountants, even personal trainers earn two, three, even ten times what the average golf instructor earns. Yet, you have gone through the same lengthy, not to mention the costly process of learning, practicing and honing your skills just as those in other professions have done.
I think it’s time that changed.
I think it’s time you got paid appropriately, just like other top professionals for the knowledge you impart and for the joy your teaching and experience brings to your students.
If you agree please read on…
My friend Allen was a golf pro and a good one at that. He had been a journeyman on the PGA tour for many years before a divorce, served on the 10th tee of an event drove him off Tour to care for his kids. He turned his attention to teaching. We played most Fridays and I started taking golf lessons from him. He worked at a small tin cup type range right off the I-5 freeway. For weeks and weeks I went there twice a week for golf lessons. Each time he offered me the choice of paying for one lesson or paying for five and getting one free.
As we worked together he started to open up to me and tell me how he need to win money in local events and gamble with members of several local clubs just to pay the bills. Although he loved to teach it just wasn’t making him enough money to support a family and an ex wife.
Meanwhile, here was I still in my mid twenties pulling down $120,000 a year teaching karate lessons while he, a 20-year veteran, struggled to make $50,000. He just didn’t understand how someone with his experience and skill could be struggling to get students when some one as young and inexperienced as I was signing up 20 or more new students a month and got them to pay in advance, not by the lesson but by the year!
One day as he started to offer me his standard deal of one lesson or five with one free I just said, “NO, I’ll tell you what I’ll do if you buy breakfast at Coco’s I’ll tell you how to triple your income. And I’ll show you how to do it without working a single hour more than you are working now.”
He was skeptical, very skeptical but he reluctantly agreed.
Over a veggie omelet, I started to outline the system I used to pre-frame students into asking for longer-term programs. I outlined ways he could package his programs so he could double the price but at the same time make them seem far more attractive to his students. I covered all the objections about time and money you hear the world over and showed him how a few simple changes to his pitch allows the students to sell themselves rather than the other way round.
As we talked he brought up the same objections I always hear: “The people around here don’t have any money and they don’t spend it if they do.”
He really believed this even though he played with our group every Friday which included three multi-millionaires all of whom took lessons from him and several more that were making very large salaries.
The first and biggest roadblock is always to overcome your own limitations and I’ll tell you how to do that too. We parted with a handshake and he agreed to try my system, but I could tell he was still skeptical.
Three days later the phone rang and he excitedly told me “You won’t believe this but I just sold a $1,000 program!” I was pleased for him and it was just the start.
Next time I was at the range his partner Ray came over and asked me if he could take me to breakfast? Less skeptical and even more desperate to increase his income…
He made an additional $5,000 that very same week!
Both of these where seasoned PGA, teaching professionals and great players but it really doesn’t matter. David Pelz never won anything and by all accounts can’t break 80 but he charges as much as $30,000 (according to Golf Magazine) for golf lessons.
Leadbetter charges $10,000 a lesson and what did he ever win? No disrespect to either. The truth is they are both master marketers first and great golf instructors’ second, heck Dave Pelz isn’t even a pro at least not in the traditional PGA sense!!!
While we would all like to think that our experience and teaching talent should be the most important factor in attracting students the HARSH TRUTH IS it really doesn’t matter. Young, old, experienced or not with the right system in place you can double, triple or quadruple your teaching income far more rapidly than you can imagine.
I have hundreds of examples of golf instructors who’s lives have changed dramatically from this information and it doesn’t matter where you live.

“Totally awesome program that will radically change the way you think about selling and marketing your lessons for the better! It’s shocking how a few simple changes in the way you approach a student can have such a radically positive effect on your income. I can’t recommend Andrews program highly enough for any teaching pro looking to capitalize on his teaching talent. Best of all the longer commitment Andrew shows you how to attain benefits the student far more than a short series of lessons.”
